How to enable email confirmation

Do you have detailed information on how to enable email confirmation, it would be such a useful feature, just don't know how to get started.

At the bottom of the Security Tab

After selecting email confirmation you have to fill in the following

Can you give me an example of a form already filled in, I would like to see an example of a form where the SMTP server is entered

I have never used it and cannot find any help on site
Would like to see a example with say office 365 smtp.office365.com as it is on port 587 using TLS
But a simple example is below

smtp.office365.com:587 for the Smtp Server input worked for me.
