Side menu - launch modal?

hi guys,

i couldn't spot if this was possible,

can you change the settings of an item on the side menu to navigate to a modal rather than to a page ?

i.e. let's say on any page i want to be able to click a menu item and popup a modal of some other page via the panel menu.

No, this is not possible. The items in the panel menu are links and navigate to pages.

bugger, i'm assuming giving the option to launch to a modal is not in the pipeline?

You can probably use the Click event of RadzenPanelMenu to do that. Make sure the Path of the Item is not set.
