Request for Support of LTS Versions of .Net in Radzen Studio

Hi Radzen team,

I understand that Radzen Studio will not receive updates for new Angular or .NET versions beyond the currently supported ones.

As we are still transitioning from Radzen Studio (Blazor/Angular) to Radzen Blazor Studio, the end of life for .NET 7.0 is a concern for us. It would be highly beneficial if the current Radzen Studio could support the LTS versions of .NET (6.0 and 8.0). This would allow us to upgrade directly to .NET 8.0 as a final step, ensuring long-term stability. We understand that this upgrade would be limited to supporting the version itself and would not include the full benefits or new features introduced in .NET 8.0.

I believe many other Radzen Studio users would also find this update extremely valuable.

Thank you for considering this request.

Best regards,
Mehmet

Hi @mcanavar,

Radzen Studio never had .NET 8 support and Microsoft stopped .NET 6 support two weeks ago.

Hi @enchev ,

Thank you for your response. I understand that Radzen Studio never had support for .NET 8, and that .NET 6 has reached its end of life also.

Given this, I would appreciate any guidance or suggestions you may have regarding the best course of action for users like us who are in transition from Radzen Studio (Blazor/Angular) to Radzen Blazor Studio.

I do want to upgrade to Radzen Blazor Studio, but the process of rebuilding from Angular to Blazor is taking time. Additionally, I haven’t yet been able to manage a smooth transition from Blazor to the Blazor Studio upgrade.

Given these challenges, I would appreciate any support or advice on how to streamline this process or work around these transition issues.

Thank you for your understanding.

Not sure what's that upgrade. If you are referring a Blazor application created with Radzen Studio maybe it will be better to continue in your other thread.

I was simply asking if you would consider this request, given the challenges I’m currently facing mentioned in other thread .

Thank you for your time.
