I had this issue a couple versions ago, maybe 3, that any new application would ignore the theme and revert to default. Eventually it started working again, not sure why or how, but next morning it was opening the apps I created using the proper theme. Now it is happening again on 2.12.1 on OSX, I have quit a few times with no luck. I will inform tomorrow on what happens

I can confirm, it ignores the theme setting while creating the app but you can fix quite simply by picking it in the "Settings"page
