The simple user-name and password alone these days is a little risky.

I wonder if email 2 factor authentication would suffice. Is it secure enough compared to using a third party authenticator (sms or third party app)? Sending a confirmation code for login isn't so difficult and we already do something similar for the reset password.
I think email is less secure but it's better than nothing in my opinion
We will consider adding email 2 factor authentication for a future release. Can't commit with a deadline though.
