Ensure selected row on datagrid when reloading the datagrid by code

Hi,

When using parent / child datagrid on on page , how do we ensure the selected parent row after refreshing ( load()) the parent form the child element after update ..

saving extra child records must be reflected in the totals shown in the parent datagrid.
