Hi, I have a grid that is populated via custom call that returns IList columns are populated successfully, however when setting the selection mode of the the grid to single, the grid doesn't highlight the selected or focused row, not sure why. any justification ?!

I think it is related to bind-Value Pls compare your grid declaration with this demo and it should be resolved.
