Datagrid filter doesn't show a filter has been applied

Hi,
The below screenshot has had a filter applied to the desciption field. But there's no indication to the user which field has been filtered against. Is there something I can do to change this?

Not sure how this filtering is applied, usually it shows:

Brilliant. I checked and it was the customised css. Primary was to close a colour to the other setting. So all good.

But, the reason I wanted to change it is because our director is colour blind. He's our system's stakeholder. Would it be possible to have it change the icon, like it does in excel. e,g,
