If I clear my dropdown selection after filtering inside of the dropdown the textfilter is cleared but will be still applied. I also reproduced this behaviour against your Demo (see gif)
Repro steps (or see atached gif):
- Filter Items in Dropdown
- Select Item(s)
- Clear Selection
- Open Dropdown
- Itemfilter Textfield will be cleared but last input will stay applied until further input
