Does the spreadsheet component support long polling?

Does the spreadsheet component support long polling? I am seeing latency issues when using long polling. The side scrolling is very slow and when editing a cell via type to edit the first char disappears and then the second char I type appears. The F2 and double click edit works, but type to edit does not. I think this is because the F2 and double click flips the editor to edit mode and is ready to accept the input, but when use type to edit, the first char I type will send it to the server and the server sets it to edit mode and before it comes back to the client I already typed the second char and it loses the first char I typed. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!

Hi @mac34,

Your diagnosis is right: keys typed before the cell editor arrived restarted the edit and replaced what you had typed. They are now buffered on the client and inserted once the editor gets focus. Scrolling made one server call per scroll event, which queues badly over long polling; the component now keeps a single update in flight. The changes will go live with the next release of the Radzen.Blazor components.

Long polling is supported but is the slowest SignalR transport - if something in front of your app is blocking WebSockets, allowing them will help every interaction.

Awesome thank you for the update! I agree WebSockets is better, but unfortunately we are stuck with long polling for the time being.
