Date shows without setting filter

In that demo I did the following:

  1. Click the calendar icon in the Birth Date column
  2. only select a date
  3. click outside of data selector component to minimize
  4. Still shows a date even though no filter was applied

I don't want the date to show unless a filter was applied. Is there a way to not show this? Or is this a bug / new feature request?
