Adding more than one page for same table overwrites already existing page

Hi, just a remark. If you add a new page (blanc page, master detail, hierarchical master detail) for an already existing element (table / entity) the already existing page gets overwritten without any further notice as you don’t have the chance to rename the newly created page at this point. You would have to change the name of the existing page prior to adding a new page.

You might add a property to the wizzard to give the page a name (obviously a different one from the already existing page) prior to saving the page, so the designer can keep the old one. Or at least detect an already existing page before saving the new one withe same name and show a dialogue in order to change the conflicting page name.

Kind regards,

Marc

Hi Marc,

No pages will be overridden when creating new pages from New Page dialog or data-source infer wizard. The New Blank page will check the name and will not allow you to create new page with same name:

When creating CRUD, Master/Detail DataGrid or Master/Detail Hierarchy pages nothing will be created if pages are already there. You can test it by adding new component to already created pages, for example a Button:
